While models and agentic coding took off, developer tools are lagging behind. As new agentic capabilities became available, new frictions appeared alongside. The industry talked more about replacing developers than giving them an agentic control center. For us, this was a fundamental disconnect.
Origin
Where it started
Voidleap didn’t start as a VC-pitch. It was built from necessity, experience, and conviction.
Our founders come from decades of shared experience to build everything from greenfield MVPs to enterprise platforms. When agentic AI took off, we were excited to start creating all ideas that previously weren't reachable, but we quickly realized that the tools were the new limiting factor.
Leading agentic engineers had to learn how to wrestle with limitations instead of focusing on building software. Tools delivered simple black box magic over observability and control, and companies focused on growth instead of quality.
We realized that the industry was building for hype and mass market adoption, while the best engineers were being marginalized. So we changed Voidleap’s focus, and started to build the agentic IDE we wanted.
Because agentic engineers deserve it.

Every product has a business model. We believe the exchange should be clear: what you pay, what data Voidleap uses, why we use it and what choices you have. We believe:
Humans over AI: When everyone has the same tools, the human touch will be a key differentiating factor for output. Developers in control will deliver better value.
Independence over lock-in: Your personal workflow and custom toolbox are your competitive advantage, you should be free to switch or mix models and providers to your preference.
Transparency over hidden terms: Paid plans are funded by subscriptions, not your data. The Free plan works the same way today, but that may change. If it does, we will tell you before it happens and give you a real choice to stay or leave.

While many tools focused on features to drive hype and valuation, Voidleap started in stealth to build a harness from the ground up. Our foundation is built to scale beyond solo-developers with YOLO-mode. Voidleap is designed to move from accidental success to intentional execution:

We are self-funded founders set out to outpace big tech and VC-backed startups. Instead of investors pushing for “user monetization”, we have a roadmap built on the mission to equip human developers with the tools that make a difference.

Co-founder and CTO
Conny focuses on the product and technical direction of Voidleap Code. His strength is turning ambitious technical ideas into systems that work. He goes deep on architecture, implementation, and the technical details required to build a reliable foundation.
His premise is straightforward: frontier models will keep improving, but developers need better ways to direct, inspect, and adapt the agents around them. He builds the harness around that view, with an emphasis on depth, scalability, and long-term coherence rather than shallow releases for early attention.
Daniel Nilebäck
Co-founder and CEO
Daniel focuses on the growth, adoption, and building Voidleap as a sustainable company. He works from a broader view of the market: what the architecture makes possible, what developers and organisations are ready to adopt now, and what will help the product spread without weakening its technical direction.
His focus is the part founder-led product companies often underestimate: strong engineering still has to become available, understood, used, recommended, and commercially sustainable.
